Porsche does offer a scheduled maintenance plan, which is what I opted for. With that the cost for my 20K service was $1675 (although it's now up to $1725), which I pre-paid for as part of the purchase of my car. I just crossed 10K after having the car for 18 months.

This is 100% correct from the Corporate simple terms explaining and selling these packages standpoint, but otherwise completely wrong with proof in the Maintenance Journal that everyone should follow. How do I know this is wrong, see below, and I have been doing this a long time!

Brake Fluid is time based, so only every 2 years regardless of miles, this is based on brake fluid science and clearly stated in the Maintenance Journal as time based every 2-year service.

Cabin Air Filter I plan to replace myself every 1 year or no more than 10k miles or you are breathing mold and I have evidence to show you if you let it be there beyond that, so 2y/20k miles is way too long based on real world evidence. I do this service on my other cars: Cayenne (recently sold), Macan GTS (ice), and Taycan using superior filters and process is easy DYI. I am so far stumped that there is no information anywhere on step-by-step replacement for Macan EV but I intend to get this figured out. [UPDATE] I figured it out on how to replace, now waiting on the alternative superior filter to arrive and then post step by step with pictures.

Tire Sealant Replacement is only required if it expired with the date printed on the bottle or if you shake it and it is hard as rock. Otherwise, they just check the Date on the Bottle and put it back, so you are not getting a brand new Sealant and it can be hard as a rock and useless when you need it, so I would do this myself and not trust the dealer. The replacement costs around $150 USD and I cannot overstate how important for it to be in ready to go state when you get a flat that can be sealed. I can expand on the story, but my strong advice make sure it is not expired and not hard as a rock.

Brake Pads are replaced only due to age at 6 years regardless of miles, so this one is wrong as well, if you follow what is printed above.

The video is way too quick to get a step by step but it does not look any different from how it is done on Macan (ice), Cayenne, with Taycan a little more difficult just due to space. Now, I feel a lot better and will take a look if I have clear access to the Cabin Air Filter
take a look at the video at #13 post.
We can see where the filter is, it gives clues on how to replace it.

i was planning on letting them do the brake fluid, and safety checks at least...

All 10k items; Brake fluid flush; Cabin air filter replacement; High-voltage battery diagnostic.

Sure would be nice if they thoroughly washed the inside of the wheel barrel (+iron fallout remover) whilst off ...
😂

I did it!

I was able to access, remove the filter, and put it back.

Certainly most quirky of them all I have done in the past: Cayenne, Macan ICE, Taycan.
However, very easy after you know what to expect.
Also, I was hoping a Taycan or Macan ICE filters would match, but no luck.
The OEM is the cheapest and most basic you can imagine.
Now, my challenge is finding a 3rd party kind that meets my expectations (4 layers etc.)
Dimensions are square: 10 inches x 11.5 inches x 1- 1/8 inch

Is this the best they can do on a car this expensive and then up charge for 4-zone:

Doing almost impossible to find searching, none of the usual companies are making these filters. So the only aftermarket is from Hengst and only sold from European warehouse, that is not a good thing. I will see if I can order it from Germany but I need to know if it is superior to OEM an any way, otherwise, what's the point.

Where you can buy Hengst E7952LC today
These sellers ship internationally, including to the U.S.:

🇩🇪 Autodoc (Germany)
  • Ships to the U.S.
  • Carries Hengst E7952LC
  • Typically €20–€30 + international shipping
  • Delivery to U.S. usually 7–14 days
Here you go AI says is it is superior, so I must have it ASAP please:

Autodoc sells it but does not ship direct to the USA. Back to search.

Ended up ordering from Spareto (never heard of this shopping site) but had to put Canada as a country with my US address and zip to get cheaper shipping, so wish me luck or I am losing $67 USD on this try for 2 filters.

Well, that would not be right if they are not doing 2-year interval brake fluid flush.

Do I Really need Tyre Sealant? $285!
Insert? $117.51?
Even the CR2032 battery price is insane, 22.29 USD !!! Without the "labor".
The retail price on Amazon, which isn't the cheapest, is around 0.70 USD.

This is exactly what I was wanted to warn everyone about:

1. Tire Sealant you do not need if it is not expired and I get mine for $135 from the dealer parts.
2. PAD insert is your Cabin Pollen Filter that I just got from Europe and Installing myself with my DYI to be posted today. Even with expensive shipping I got 2 filters for $77 and the replacement takes 15 minutes.
3. FOB Brand battery is $6 from a grocery store and you can do yourself.
4. I also just got Bosch wipers, the highest grade ICON level and just replaced them myself and will be posting about it separately as 26/22 as a set fits just fine even though the smaller OEM measures 21.

My point is that DO NOT AGREE to these and just follow my DYI threads and save a lot of money.

Last week, I also requested a quote for the first service for my Macan RWD.
I find the pricesto be extremely high. €1410 for the first service after 2 years.
Last week, I also took a test drive in the BMW iX3-50, and a maintenance contract with BMW for 4 years costs €704.00 and for 6 years €1,024.00. A huge difference compared to Porsche.

If you do everything yourself for 4-5 years, are there any concerns about reselling or trade-in since the dealership won’t have any service history?

Good question. These are very minor service items and it is part of developing a really nice collaboration with your Service Advisor (SA). I show my SA the packaging and receipts that I replaced the Cabin Filter, Wipers, FOB battery, Checked Tire Sealant and those are taken off the invoice as parts and labor but the Tech still resets the Smart Service so I am always up to date from the Service Records as they are now not in Paper form but part of the Smart Service records.

I had almost too good of a collaboration with my previous SA as he bought a Macan Base (ICE) and I wanted to thank him for working with me over the years by buying him a Roar Pedal and installing it for him in the dealer parking lot. That really makes a big difference for the Macan Base, so he had so much fun, that he was riding customers around showing off the Roar Pedal modes. This did not end well as he was let go due to having too much fun. I still do not feel good about it but it is not my fault the Roar Pedal is that good.
