Weird comparison then, but awesome car nonetheless. The 4-motor M variant concept that has been unveiled recently looks bonkers. I canāt wait for a 4-motor in a Macan-like package.
Yeah it does control regen levels to simulate engine braking as if downshifting a PDK. That is the main point of interest for me. As for upshifting, I wonder if E-Shift stages power delivery in a way that would save a bit of battery charge compared to the regular unbridled acceleration.
Does anyone feel that driver involvement lacks a bit? During my test drive I didnāt really, but right after when I took off in my 2.0 VW with paddle shifters, I couldnāt help but wonder⦠and then I saw the news about the Taycan.
Thanks for the tip. I did check out the GTS but interest rates are worse than for the 4S (+3%!) and, strangely, also worse than for the Turbo. Iāll circle back to it before pulling the trigger.
Does anybody think that the virtual gearbox called E-Shift recently released for the 2027 Taycan will make its way to the 2027 Macan? I was building a 4S order when I saw the announcement⦠Iām definitely intrigued, I think Iāll wait.
