    The hood is not moving at all, so I can’t reach the safety lock as described in step #10. It has to be a mechanical failure to the main lock/solnoid. The sound is right, but nothing happens.

    This is if the 12V battery is discharged. Mine is fine and I can hear the electric lock working as normal. But the hood is not moving (and is not possible to open manually). But thanks for a informative reply.
