I have the 18 way, I like them. They’re are definitely not as comfortable as the 14 way.
I’m not saying the 18 way aren’t great. I like them a lot. I like driving and I like that they are firmer but I notice they are there and hugging me.
If you’re looking for comfort they go with the Comfort...
I don’t mind the twitters and mods on my Bose but the sub is really disappointing compared to my previous ICE Macan’s Bose. I’m going to get the sub you recommended.
Did you have to do anything other than replace the sub e.g. power, resistors or anything else?
I’m quite pleased with how Google Maps works. I’m also pleased with the little CarPlay integrations that exist in the cluster. Now that my Connect Services work, I can say they’re very pleasing to me (as an ex Tesla driver, I prefer the Porsche integration for CarPlay). It is more integrated...
I was so grumpy this morning because of those errors. They cleared a couple of hours later. I had a great drive. I don’t like being see sawed between happy owner and anxious owner but when it’s working it’s an absolute joy.
Your observations may be accurate but as a customer, to me, it is irrelevant. VW, Audi, and Porsches have had reliable adaptive cruise control in the past. I have owned those. This should not be an issue in 2026.
I wouldn’t be surprised if many people in this forum aren’t software engineers. It...
Yes exactly. Porsche has no excuse. They’ve been doing it for years in their cars, plus they are part of VW AG and have that entire ecosystem. These are rookie mistakes in a premium vehicle and are flat out unacceptable. Drivers shouldn’t have to have these worries on their dashboards...
I noticed mine not recognizing speed and n the highway but as soon as I pass an unoccluded speed sign that went away.
However, today I woke up and need to do a long drive and the “speed limit error” popped
Up. It’s a new one for me on a day when I’d be using adaptive cruise control. So I am...
Great choice. I agree the software in the Macan is not as good but with Android or Apple it doesn’t make much difference. The Nav is Porsche is good, the only thing I miss from my Tesla is the self-Park.
I used that a lot at chargers and the awkwardly small parking garage at work. It didn’t...
I agree on Macan driver experience. Also, I know original poster may not have this preference but I really don’t like the look of the kidney grills on the new generation BMWs. I was a BMW driver for 15 years but switched because the styling lost its appeal to me. The Macan just looks like a...
Yes, mine showed the privacy settings locked even though everything was off. It stopped the Connect Services from working. They tried resets and recreating account, and all other steps for support.
It needed a firmware patch to get it working.
It’s great to know CarPlay stuff can be done OTA. In my GM, iOS updates on my phone did cause hassles with my car and needed dealer updates. If Porsche can do this it’s a great thing for future proofing my car. It’s the biggest thing I need from OTA.
Really long video just to say Surround, Bass 4, Treble 2.
I agree on the surround option. Having come from a gas powered Macan with Bose, the Bose in my 4S is really disappointing.
When my car works correctly, don’t do updates. Sometimes new updates to Apple iOS cause hassles with connecting (I’ve had that in an electric Chevy too). That’s when I update. Go to the dealer.
Yes to all of this, and I think people want Porsche to do this.
That’s the opinion people are expressing about the experience, it’s not that people think it can be solved in their current cars. We want it to be solved in future cars.
Not going back to ICE either. Engineers just need to spend a month working at a dealer dealing with consumers and learn empathy for that perspective.
All the technical explanations in the world don’t matter to a purchaser that just wants a working car and features already paid for without...
