Any perspective on protective wraps if they are worth the cost ?

In the UK it’s worth declaring that you have PPL on the car. The insurance companies are getting picky here too ā˜¹ļø

Any perspective on protective wraps if they are worth the cost ?

I’ve used xPel on last 4 cars. I had some bumper damage in a car park that would have meant an expensive paint job. The cost of reapplying the wrap was a great deal cheaper. The wrap is also a good investment if you do a lot of motorway/fast highway miles. The wrap does mark but when you come to...

    Replacement Tyres

My Macan 4S currently has 21 inch Bridgestones. What's the view on alternatives? Michelin has a new All Weather tyre CC3 Sport. Has anyone had any experience of this tyre? It has a very different tread configuration. Looks like the most obvious tyres are a Pirelli P Zero or the Michelin Sport EV

Replacing active air blade Macan 4

I damaged mine a while back. There’s a thread where I reported a bird strike at motorway speeds. Porsche replaced the whole unit. It was 200GBP. The whole repair was 2000GBP. This is because the front had to come off and all the cameras and sensors have to be realigned. 7 hours at OPC prices ?

    Beware Costly Bird Strikes

Driving on the motorway this week I had a bird strike on the front nearside active air intake. This all happened very early in the morning. It initially appeared to be OK with just 1 cracked blade/vane. Sad to say I didn't realise how much these AAI's do. Porsche advised not driving the...

    Range - again

It's really great to see how you are all getting along with mileage returns in the real world. My 4S has now done 4000miles. Very varied motoring. Quite a few long trips on the motorway and some rural roads plus some town traffic. I'm only just returning 3.0-3.3 m/kW. It's very easy to get a lot...

Macan 4 EV - Octopus intelligent sync issue

I have queried this with both OVO, the charger supplier and Porsche. The results are as follows. OVO don’t have the Macan listed [yet]. The Andersen charger folks say the unit cannot be updated and new bits are expensive! Alternative is to buy a 2024 unit at Ā£1000. Porsche seem to be blissfully...

I ended up with Admiral Platinum at £1200/pa. I was with Hiscox at £4200!
