I like this! Although RWD and 4 both make sense: RWD has the best range and the cheaper entry point, and 4 is what people think an SUV should be (although what they really need is winter tires).
About GTS/Turbo - The gen 1 Macan GTS had a boosted S engine, and gen 2 (the one I had) had a...
An almost perfect spec š Just kidding, looks great! Definitely curious to hear more about InnoDrive, I'm not yet at the point where I regret not having it, but you never know.
This. I've been passing cars on the highway a few times, thinking why is everyone so slow? Turns out I was the one...
Same here. I've owned several Porsches, and the previous one was a Macan GTS (because... family!) To be clear, I don't pretend to be objective, most people here are happy owners of a Macan EV so obviously there is a lot of confirmation bias.
My personal experience is that I have never really...
Wow, amazing pictures, love the attention to detail š
Re: brakes, I agree completely, in fact driving any other car can be scary, because you expect the brakes to be much more aggressive.
Merci, thatās reassuring! I donāt know if the alpine roads are as salty as in the US, here they pretty much coat the road, to the point that you have to use your windshield wipers to see through the salt.
š As mentioned in another thread, Iāve found the Bose system to be pretty disappointing, but itās definitely much better than the standard system, which is (I think) unacceptably bad for a car at this price.
As an audiophile snob š Iāve always found the Bose systems (and Bose in general) to be quite disappointing in the different cars Iāve had. In the 911 it was fighting against the engine noise in most situations, and in the ICE Macan, I found it slightly better because of the probably better...
@tmrqs have you checked the Four wheel trader Taycan depreciation videos? Iāve watched most of them when I was looking to buy a used Taycan. They are a bit scary, but they will give you historical trends by trim and model year.

Steering and throttle inputs are definitely sharpened in sport mode, thatās pretty much what the mode does (outside of chassis and height changes).
Interesting findings re: regen. Since normal is the new range mode on Macan EV, Iām not surprised itās aggressively turning down/off the front...
Same here! Itās much cheaper, and since I donāt change the wheels or tires myself, the only downside is that my 21ā Macan Design wheels will probably age faster, because of the salt.
Seems like with this first series (similar to the Taycan launch?) when people have issues, they're serious issues. My guess is that in the majority of these cases, Porsche is on it and will try to make things right. I'd definitely like to hear more from people who voted 3.
š @nulled in the past, I always checked the Sport Chrono box to get the dial, but this time I really hesitated, since the dial is now standard. In the past, it was also the only way to get the PSM Sport mode (i.e. stability management not entirely off), but I'm not not even sure it's true...
Mostly happy (I voted 2), here is my reasoning:
Pros
Handling, power, air suspensions, overall fun!
Looks better than I thought (ice grey š) I had a few doubts before delivery
Rear-wheel steering is amazing
Build quality (only issue: doors alignment is good, not perfect)
Range is (so far) more...
I have to say, being able to save specific driving settings has annoyed me in the past, like the fact that sport mode always came with sport exhaust by default. I remember companies selling aftermarket modules to change some of these default settings.
I wouldn't cancel my order for that of...
From what I've seen, you do want some parts removed because it means 1/ the installer wonāt risk damaging the paint when cutting the PPF, and 2/ they can properly tuck in the film.
