Coasting is more efficient than regen - regen is only a win if you're actually going to stop the car or intended to decelerate the vehicle…
regen is no more than 55-65% efficient - i.e. you put 100 units of energy into the vehicle to get it up to speed - you may recover 60 of those units back...
still cheaper than gas per-mile vs. 28 mpg costs for a gallon of gasoline…\
trip overall was 3.3 miles/kWh
$0.61 / kwh @ 3.3 miles/kWh = $0.18 / mile
Costco gas today is $6.24 @ 28 mpg is $0.22 mile… and 28 mpg is not the typical efficiency of a Macan ICE ;-) so that's a generous comparison...
regen off - we arrived in morro-bay/slo at like 35% battery after starting at 88% percent - no range issue for that highway 1 segment given winding roads, vista points, and slower speed limits and other drivers ;-)
charging options are limited between Montery and Morro Bay - although there are...
Undeniably one of the great drives in the world is Hwy 1 on the west coast of North America. This legendary Hwy stretches from San Diego, CA all the way up to Northern most section of Washington state. One can do this drive in 2-3 days or 2-3 years given how much there is to see and do along...

have you considered an Audi Q6 it might be a better fit for your goals…and you'll get more value for the same or lower price point…
this is not my build.
i've been a Porsche victim now since my first 2008 911 4S - I've learned it's not a real fault unless it persist's for a few restarts/days…
unless it's a serious fault that is clearing impacting the vechicle's operational status - I ignore "warnings" unless they persist…
most of the time they...
desirable "new" EV's being sold for massive discount in North America is largely a myth - you can get some discount but no different than any new car if you're a hard negotiator…prices are less advertised
30% off a new Taycan vs. MSRP is not happening at any of my local dealers…
I routinely get 2.9-3.2 miles/kWh in my 2024 Turbo Macan EV
I would suggest wheel size and summer/performance tires are the core reason you're seeing that level of efficiency with the GTS - while the performance level of those stock tires on a GTS are certainly sexy and impressive they are...
this is a narrative that you can get xx% off MSRP on all these Porsche EV's - please list the delaerships and VIN's of the cars being sold for these prices…
I can never find it!!
