Itās in the fine print, but yes, they should be more proactive and tell us. See the last line on this, on the āPrice list Porsche Charging Service Plusā. This was emailed after the handover.
1) Preferred partners: Porsche Dealerships (DC only),
Porsche Charging Lounges, Porsche Factory, IONITY
Yes, you can use Porsche chargers at the dealership either with the Porsche charge card or Plug & Charge, if yours is active.
My Plug & Charge is greyed out on the PCM for some reason, and I have raised it with the dealership.
Did you not have near you either Ionity or Porsche's own charge points available at some of their deanships?
Porsche's Charging Service Plus plan which is for up to three years, is much cheaper than Gridserve.
With 20" standard wheels, I was given Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres.
I find them quite noisy.
Given a choice, I would have gone for Hankook ones. I heard they are good, and as per the configuration, they are least noisy.
Interesting this and worth considering.
Although he talks about Taycan's Innodrive, but I guess same applies to Macan.
My SA recommended Innodrive not needed as I have ACC and Lane Keep Assist, and that should serve the purpose.
I am glad I agreed. It serves me well.
Should You Buy The Porsche...
Heated windscreen is a good option. I have turned it on a few times. Even after precondition the car, I found the windscreen gets misty during driving. So, using it a few minutes has worked well.
The news states: āAccording to the engineers, the new EV can travel nearly 800 miles (1,270 km) with two 10-minute charging stopsā.
So, there are two stops for charging in between claimed "800 miles". Good marketing there :D
I'm happy to take 3 or 4 stops, and preferably longer than 10 minutes...
In my Macan, plug & charge is greyed out, so it's not active.
A couple of days ago the dealer did a factory reset, still no joy.
Today, he told me that after speaking with Porsche Head office, they have suggested raising a technical case with Germany.
Other than this, all is good.
Quite right @RichardM
Standard 20" are good size, big enough and a perfect fit for a car of this size. And they look far better in real than in configuration. Good for range too.
@Salmonfisher
The specs you mention are very similar to mine, in Ice Grey. It came to £81k
Just to add, I did not option RWS. Turning circle seems fine. I guess if you don't have it you don't know what you are missing : )
Lane Keeping Assist including Emergency Stop function is a standard feature in the UK. With ACC or even with speed limiter, it works pretty well.
I prefer that combination as even if I go slightly over the speed limit I don't get an acoustic warning. I think InnoDrive is more restrictive if you...
I just checked what Platinum cover is. From what I understand, Platinum is the same cover as a Gold policy, plus breakdown cover.
But do you need extra breakdown cover when Porsche already provide that for three years? ?
When something like that happens again, I think, pressing the volume button for 5 seconds resets a bug like that.
This is different to a factory reset.
