I thought it was that the phone’s navigation takes ownership of the car’s GPS, and it can only be associated one thing at a time. So then the car’s PCM no longer receives data from the GPS module.
Yes, the torx bolt is useful for slightly adjusting the clamp. I needed to adjust those bolts on mine. It’s also a torx security bit that’s needed. I just bought a set of torx security bits to ensure I had the right one.
I discovered the issue by not being able to precondition the car via the app after we got snow. And then I found that the SOS light on the headliner was not lit green (wasn’t lit at all), and the cell service icon was the same no-data icon as @pepperwhiter56 posted an image of above.
Yes, I had this issue. It took a long time to get it resolved with multiple trips to my Porsche Service Center. IIRC, it was the Communication Module replacement that fixed it.
The various resets of the Data Module didn’t help. My understanding (with incomplete info) is that the data module is...
I drive on shitty roads around Boston and the Macan is way better than our MME Premium. I also hate how bouncy the MME is, the Macan handles the bumps way better and I wouldn’t consider the Macan to be bouncy.
Yeah, that’s how mine was, but I still needed to make some adjustments to the bolts to allow my to properly clamp them. Some were too loose, others were too tight and I didn’t want to break the plastic covers.
I was able to adjust the security torx bolts by hand, but also bought this set to make it easier to adjust in the future: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-SHOCKWAVE-Impact-Duty-Alloy-Steel-Torx-Security-Screw-Driver-Bit-Set-10-Piece-48-32-4618/302766777
It is either the T30 or T40 size.
I have the passenger door panel rattle as well. Similarly it seems to change based on the temperature. What did the Porsche Center do to try to address it when you all took it in to be addressed?
I’m seeing the speed limit display warning message, and also now data connectivity in the car to the cellular network.
I didn’t drive the car for a couple of days, then went out in it and have these issues:
No cellular data connection
Speed limit display warning
GPS showing the car in the...
Mine did come wrapped and I they are smelling less strong after six weeks. I think they might be ready to put in after two months of off-gassing in the basement.
The rubber floor mats I got from Porsche have been off-gassing in my basement for more than a month. They have a very strong smell that I can’t get stand if they were in the car. I really hope they finish off-gassing soon as I want to put them in this month.
I also have the luggage compartment...
This is interesting and seems related to my post here: https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/car-delivered-with-low-tire-pressure-and-incorrect-pcm-settings-for-the-tpms.17929/
I wanted to quickly share something odd I experienced with the tire pressures on my car in case other end up with a similar situation…
When I took delivery of my Macan 4 with 21” All Season tires, I noticed in the TPMS that the tires were at 30 PSI and they were all reporting as being 4 PSI...
I did the wheel warranty because we live in the city and the curbs are square and granite. My current three year old car has two curbed wheels on the passenger side. I figured I would do this with it being a lease and help cover the cost of repair for the lease return assuming they’ll eventually...
It’s not the whole lease amount. Notice (6) unearned Rent Charges. About half of the lease payment is rent charge, so you’re not paying the lease interest for all remaining payments in the lease — this makes sense, otherwise it would crazy.
