  1. Anyone missing paddle shifters?

Because right or wrong, Porsche has decided that its driving and handling experience does not include any version of one-pedal driving, and so there is no need for variable regen mapping.
  2. I've Got My Lease Options: What's the verdict?

Yes, but the combination of the origination fee, money factor, and inflated residual makes that $7500 vanish. The leases are awful except for the occasional promo for an in-inventory unit. Unless you need to lease for tax reasons, it's not worth the bother.
  3. How to stop EA Charging at 30 free min cap?

That's a de-rated charger, not weather or conditioning. Preconditioning can't make a 100-200kW difference. With zero preconditioning in freezing temperatures, I still get ~200kW within a minute of plugging into a 350kW station, peaking around 230.
  4. Rain sensing wipers just...suck?

Good news! The rain sensor was misaligned and not attached to the windshield. Now that it was reattached, all is well.
  5. Tariff anxiety . . .

There's no new information there. Porsche's gross margin on cars as around 40%, but the price increase that goes into effect and the amount of whatever tariff is enacted are not directly related. Some amount will be absorbed from the marketing/sales incentives budgets, some amount will be...
  6. Macan 4 – Quick review from 1st time Porsche owner (former Model Y owner)

There is a display mode depicting other vehicles and traffic obstructions in the center of the three configurable options. It's not as detailed as the Tesla equivalent, but it is better than nothing, which is the case in most other brands. You can also configure the diamond button to bring up...
  7. Less than positive review

The facts are pretty straightforward, but the conclusions are wobbly. It's a little bit silly to spec a 640hp car with summer tires in winter, rear axle steering, and 22" wheels and complain about a "busy" ride. That's not the car's fault. That's just an error in owner judgment or the selection...
  8. Rain sensing wipers just...suck?

Yep, like I said in the post, that switch does absolutely nothing to the wiper speed in my car. It's looking like mine is defective, which is a relief. I was worried it was just bad in general.
  9. 2025 model year changeover?

I realize many others have also tried to clean this up, but while you may be confident, you are most definitely incorrect. Model years are not different across EU/NA or across brands, and there absolutely are MY2024 Macan EVs in the UK, the US, and the EU. They were made for about four months...
  10. Rain sensing wipers just...suck?

Thanks! That gives me hope that it's a software/calibration problem or just a defective sensor. I'll take it back to the dealer and have them look.
  11. Rain sensing wipers just...suck?

I think I found the first little problem with my car. The rain sensor mode (up one level on the stalk) is just awful. Has anyone else had a problem with it? It technically works, as it will trigger in the rain, but it won't increase wiping speed when the rain gets heavier. It always acts like...
