You have your opinion and you've found videos to confirm what you think. I loved the Turbo on my two test drives, including the RAS, so I too have found videos to confirm my own thoughts.
The video below by Tom Ford says you should "just buy the Turbo", and it's now the "benchmark". There are...
This reviewer did what I think is the worst video I've ever seen for an automotive publication. I genuinely thought he'd won a competition to do a car review. He seems mad nervous and he describes the M5 like he's describing unloading the dishwasher.
Porsche are just complying with the rules of the WLTP and EPA. Whether it makes any sense or not is neither here nor there. And having to do the test in the default driving mode is absolutely the reason your car doesn't start in "Sport" mode, and that you can't turn off the engine "stop/start"...
As has already been stated, it's because the emissions standards and consumption figures are based on the default state, and being able to adjust the default state would render Porsche in violation of the rules.
I have an i5, so I'm well aware of BMW's charging curve. I also appreciate you can gain more range per minute at a lower power than you can in a Taycan or Macan due to efficiency. None of these will matter to people that have no experience of either, however. They will see a brand new BMW, with...
I switched from a Taycan GTS ST to a Macan Turbo about six weeks ago. I thought I would regret the decision but I'm very happy at the moment. The Macan is much better for daily use, and while my heart was saying Taycan, my head says Macan. The benefits of a comfier, higher ride outweigh the more...
No, it doesn't. You've misunderstood the point of the post.
If it takes longer to charge something then the time is said to be "above" the time taken, not below. I was just clarifying that, not making an issue over one minute.
Macan Turbo owner of six weeks, here, and RAS is without a doubt the first box I would tick if ordering again. It makes the car feel like a hot hatch.
Also, as someone else pointed out, it's basically the same length wheelbase as the Taycan, which is the only parameter which needs to be looked...
But it's not "one touch". It's five touches to turn them all off. I still don't get what this brings over the Macan. I can turn the two annoying features off in two touches, and with physical buttons, and without moving my hand from the steering wheel.
I'm genuinely curious as to what advantage deactivating the warnings on the screen has over pushing two physical buttons on or near the steering wheel?
Using the screen is harder in every way. It requires more inputs (to get to the screen in the first place assuming it's not already on that...
I'm in the Netherlands. My app works fine in that I can pre-condition my car and I see updated data, but the only issue appears to be that I only see the silhouette instead of images of my car. This has been the case for around three weeks.
But that looks more onerous than the Macan. I have to make two inputs in my Macan; one press of the diamond button, and one long press on the LKA button under the cruise control stalk. That looks like you'd have to make three presses on the screen.
I've only bought a handful of cars in the UK, all BMWs, but was given a choice of registration numbers from the selection they had. Sounds like your dealer couldn't be bothered.
