The dealership just mentioned that they were important updates when the booking was kept for me. Then when I collected he said it was the v28.13 campaign, but didn't go into detail.
My update wasnt scheduled, it just happened to be booked in to look at my assistance settings which disappeared from the PCM. These just came back on after 2 weeks by itself, so went to cancel the booking but was told that they had important recall updates to make.
My 4S had the update on Monday (Porsche Stockport) for the day. Can't really feel any improvements but driving conditions have been poor in UK since collection, so hard to tell. I too dont know where to find on the PCM evidence that it has had the update as the following screen didn't change...
Well, I had to wait exactly 2 weeks for this error to clear, by itself. I even went into my Porsche dealership (Stockport) and they couldn't understand it and booked my car in to be diagnosed.
The only thing I didnt do, the day before it cleared, was drive anywhere, as the car normally gets...
Ditto, for me too. Happened yesterday and the soft reset didn't resolve the issue. The only thing that has changed are the tyres (To Pirelli EV All Season MS) a couple of weeks ago. And last Monday it went in for a service (20,000 miles) and they said there was no software/firmware update...
Totally agree, I just hope the guy on the desk mentioned to the engineer that your vehicle with a similar issue was resolved and he just didn't dismiss it all together. Only time will tell and will let you know what happens.
Gents,
I collected the car on Monday for the random window opening and electronic charger port issue. I had already provided the 'thealbs' car reg ahead of my visit and advised that this vehicle had a similar issue. The dealer then informed me that he couldn't use this as 'no two cars are the...
Thanks for sharing your details, I will defo let my dealership know and hope it will help, as you say, engineer to engineer.
@Chris, Yes, seems strange that we are all local to each other too, with this issue.
I will keep you all posted and if sucessful, thanks to thealbs, will help everyone...
Mine goes into the Stockport dealership on Monday to see if this can be resolved. They will try and replicate the fault, which maybe difficult seeing it's very random. I did take a video of the window not closing properly though. I have also noticed the sunroof doesn't close sometimes from it's...
Same error code for me too, as I have the passenger screen and thought there would be more content to view. I wondered if this could be accessed through ScreenHits TV, as promoted by Porsche, but think this is for other Porsche models.
Here in the UK, I have accessed BBC I Player, through the...
Feel a little daft, but just to close this thread out. The noise that I heard was nothing to do with the Porsche but my neighbours boiler flue, located at roof level protruding over my drive and resonates around, so it was difficult to pin point. At least its reassuring, it wasn't the car and it...
You can add my car to this list too. This has occurred to the front passenger side a few times now in the last month or so. Its happened again just now, but to the rear passenger side window, whilst cleaning away the mass of dead flies from the front bumper. Just to note, my vehicle had its...
Hi
Have you seen this Canadian review of the 4S. I too have a 4S in Volcano Grey, as I thought it would go well with the outdoor pack in Vesuvius Grey, which it does with the Bordeuex red leather extended intetior, which is a deep red rather than a bright red.
The car looks great, but with it...
Just to add to my post above, a video capturing the actual sound the car randomly made on my drive, this happened for 3 consecutive days, each time, maybe lasting 5 -10 mins. It hasn't occurred since, fingers crossed. I sent this file to my local Porsche dealer in Stockport last week, who...
What a coincidence! I too noticed for the first time, my raised rear spoiler through my rear view mirror and didn't know about the link with the sunroof, as I too had the sunroof fully open on Saturday afternoon, in Manchester. Nor did I know about the soft reset either, which I used this...
Dear All,
Have had my Macan 4S for about 7 weeks now (Circa 4500 miles) and this morning in the early hours when the car was on the road, locked and unplugged, I heard what I thought was an alarm in the distance, ignored it and went back to sleep. I have just heard it again this afternoon...
