EXCELLENT list of features that bring meaningful improvement to the Tesla experience and no reason why other EVs shouldn’t have these. I’d add a few more:
- Ability to set pre heat/cool temperature
- View cameras from iPhone app
- MUCH better map experience (worth repeating)
- Route planning...
We are a 100% apple household (multiple iPhones, Apple Watches, MacBooks, Apple TVs, iPads, HomePods). While we love AirPlay in the Macan EV, lack of it in Tesla is ZERO problem, they’ve done a fantastic job with their SW and UI/UX including some little common sense things that make us wonder...
Wow these are some almost horror stories.
I had emailed Porsche about not being able to set pre heat/cool temp (gets overridden by car temp), and they suggested I reach out to dealership to get this update installed. Dealership said they would have to check if this update is even available. No...
I seem to be missing something obvious with planned departure temperature settings. I have reoccurring weekly departure scheduled. I’d like it to be 80°F when leaving in the am BUT it seems to be picking up the temperature I last had in the car when driving (which today was 62°).
There has to...
This is happening to me now. Car was parked in the garage and late in the night I got a notification on Porsche app that the alarm is going off. Went to the car and the rear LED was flashing. And inside the car I was getting this error message along with a loud alarm. Trunk is opening and...
I’ve looked and looked but can’t seem to find the option in Macan EV where the seat belt gives a nice hug as soon as the car starts driving (or perhaps when put on Drive). The dealership had turned it on upon delivery but I had to reset the car and now it’s gone.
Response from Porsche:
We had faced an unplanned disturbance that affected the My Porsche App as well as the in vehicle login. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. The responsible teams have resolved the issue and affected services are working again as expected. Please allow 24 hours for...
Went from bad to worse. Now it’s saying “Does not support remote access services”. But I logged on and checked remote services are enabled (as they have been since I got the car).
I’m trying to use the Porsche iPhone app to navigate, distance is 70 miles, charge level indicates 198 miles available, and there are plenty of fast chargers on the route. Yet, below is the message I get. Has anyone else encountered this?
Route calculation not possible
Possible reasons...
After working fine since I got the Macan EV, today the iPhone app stopped showing latest data (charge, location, etc.). No data issues on the phone. Reinstalled app too. Any ideas?
Unlikely I drove for this long without the frunk been closed properly, wouldn’t the car alert me to that anyway? And just now I took it through a touchless car wash after ensuring the frunk was shut correctly, and here are photos of water that got inside.
Drove for an hour on the expressway while it was snowing. Upon stopping, I noticed there was a decent amount of snow in the frunk.
Also, when I go through a car wash I get water inside the frunk.
Is this normal?
