it's not hard at all. If you have a plastic pry tool... insert an pry at the corners of the light, as you can see in you pic, the clips are at the edges. Its only pressure clipped in from the front...the back side is hooked.
so once you pry out the front, it just falls out.

privacy mode is the default setting right? it's basically just turning off/on all comms from the car... I would think, it's off because PCM was reset during battery change maybe...?

they can expand the Hybrid line up, that's not really a bad thing. it's much easier and cheaper to tweak the chassis for...

the physical pads can come on pretty strong right before you actually stop....but under normal conditions of slowing down...i can't feel a difference.
i can confirm all the same... I ordered them right after he put up the pic of his...all works fine. It's literally just a two wire light, and unit is clipped in with pressure. Technically no tools required
