Tiny Mud Flap?

My guess is it's there to help keep the marker light/reflector clear of mud/mess from the tire.

The EU versions don't have side reflectors, but they do have the flap. So I don't think it has anything to do with the reflectors. I think it's because the 21- and 22-inch wheels are 10mm wider than the 20-inch. Photo of my 21-inch wheel with the flap:

I was about to say that the Macan ICE (petrol) with either 20" or 21" rims doesn't have the plastic arch extensions but does have the protruding flap (19" has neither) BUT as I was checking the UK configurator just now the MY changed (finally) to MY26 and the flaps have gone (still no extended plastic arch) but this could be an image rendering issue and the flap is there.


Macan EV has the plastic arch extensions on all variants BUT only 21" & 22" rims add the flap (as per UK configurator at least). UK configurator still displaying MY25 only at this point.

Agreed, absolutely nothing to do with reflectors (that a NA spoiler along with orange indicator lenses rather than clear)

the 21 and 22's also come with wider fenders.. .So it's not just because the wheels are wider, the fender already wider to match the wheel.
no matter which size you get, it appears the wheel/fender ratio is the same.
