  1. Out Of Spec Dave Wraps Up Macan Lease

Some of the early forum members will recall the father of an EV influencer leased a Macan 4 for his spouse nineteen months ago. He and his wife recently decided to get out of the lease (stated reason: wanted to get Tesla FSD before it went to subscription). I was following this to see how the...
  2. Black dashboard

I had this issue about a year ago, before the software update. It corrected after turning off the vehicle and letting it sit. Happened only once. HUD helped, as it did for you.
  3. What does your Future hold with the Macan

Initial report on Rivian R2 is glowing. This actually is good news for Porsche, as they invested in Rivian to partner on software. It is certain that the current Macan will be outdated sooner or later, maybe sooner. Porsche certainly will be pressed to remain competitive in this SUV EV market.
  4. Cayenne EV

I saw these at the Porsche North Scottsdale dealer in Phoenix, a Base and a Turbo that arrived the day prior to the announced date of the one day (I think Saturday only) event. Neither had a window sticker and several sales associates said that they had not gone through training on the...
  5. Cayenne EV

    Rear spoiler…rear hatch button??
  6. Cayenne EV

Things I noticed as different or new. New touch pad on charge door to open charging port. It worked well. Larger center screen was nice. Rear, smallish spoiler is on top of the roof. Rear hatch vertical opening is much lower than the ICE Cayenne (EV 27 inches vs about 33 ICE vs about 37 in...
  7. Cayenne EV

This is a Macan forum, but several people are thinking about the Cayenne EV. I had a chance to see it today (no chance to drive it), and will post some pictures and brief observations. Obviously, the Cayenne is larger than the Macan. I think this is the key difference between the two. Yes...
  8. What does your Future hold with the Macan

I have a high tolerance for risk. I configured and ordered my 2024 Macan 4 in June 2024, purchasing it upon delivery in December 2024. The first six months went well, and so we bought a second (CPO) for my wife In June 2025. We will keep these for 4-6 more years; might move back to a Cayenne...
  9. First maintenance service after two years

Be happy. The Audi Etron had an annual service schedule.
  10. Best tyres for wear (comp)

Update: 23,000 miles, or 37,000 km on original tires. Macan 4 is 18 months old. Not down to wear bar yet. Pirelli Scorpion MS 285/45/20 (rear size). I drive moderately aggressively, but also have a lot of highway miles. winner winner, chicken dinner?? BMOC - Big Man On Campus?
  11. Potential New Owner

I have two 2024 Macan 4 on air suspension (US standard). Having had air suspension on my last four vehicles, I much prefer it. No rattles. Before buying, you might ask the dealer’s service center to assess how easy they think it might be to address any existing rattles in the vehicle you’re...
  12. Adaptive cruise sometimes (rarely) doesn't detect slow moving traffic.

I too have had this issue at least once with a stopped vehicle in front. In a 2023 Audi Etron I used to own, I recall it was noted in the owner’s manual that this was a limitation of the cruise control. That made me aware that it also might be an issue for Porsche.
  13. Wall Street Journal Article on German auto industry

A May 20 WSJ article indicates Germany has lost 100,000 auto jobs since 2019 and is expected to lose another 125,000 by 2035. Part of this is due to the move to EV’s which are simpler to build, but most of the losses are due to an “uncompetitive business environment:” high taxes and levies...
  14. Traded in my Macan Turbo got the G580

I too looked at the G EV. For me, the low range, lower efficiency and slower charging speed were suboptimal, since I do a fair amount of highway driving. But loved the interior space. While I think we all can agree that the build quality of the Macan EV isn’t the same as the 911 (so models do...
  15. 2,400 miles in 10 Days

I also just returned from a long trip, 3,000 miles, from Phoenix to western Missouri, up to Nebraska and home. It was mostly highway, except for a long leg after Omaha across an EV charging wasteland on the backroads, north to south across Kansas, Oklahoma and into Texas. One Ionna charger on...
