Late to this thread, but for anyone still deciding on a home charger for their Macan EV, don't overthink the charger brand too much. I went with a ChargePoint Home Flex, but the Tesla Universal Connector is also solid.

The 2,000 kg towing capacity is impressive for a mid-size EV. Most people forget that electric motors have instant torque, which makes pulling a trailer uphill way smoother than a gas engine. Just keep an eye on the range since the drag from a trailer usually cuts it by nearly half.

If it’s a mechanical failure and not glass breakage from a rock, the bumper-to-bumper warranty usually covers the motor and the track assembly. Get the service advisor to document the fault code before they try to blame external damage. I had a similar issue with a sticky seal and they fixed it...
