I agree with the suggestion to add thermal/noise insulated windows, and probably 20" rims so you get more insulation in the tires. I have both options, and the ride is nice and quiet. Certainly no worse in loudness than my son's Polestar 2.

I think this depends more on the dog than on the car. As said above -- the half-way-up position of the rear seats can help with boot space, but also, my wife always takes the dog in the back seat rather than the trunk of her even-bigger SUV (Volvo XC90) because that's what works for our dog.

When it's in the 40s and 50s here, it gets warm enough in the first minute. For window defrost, it's almost instant. I still use the seat and steering wheel warmer as the faster comfort, though!
