If you were trying to use a Tesla Level 2 resort charger, the adapter that Porsche sent us is for Tesla DC fast charging. I think you need a separate Tesla Level 2 adapter.
Strip out some off your cosmetics such as 21" wheels, GT steering wheel, painted metal parts and you could have a 4s which is much sportier for under 1000 pounds extra.
When I was away for 6 weeks last summer and left it plugged in, the Porsche app would occasionally let me know the Macan was getting charged up, but only by a few percentage points. Have no idea why it happened several times.
I believe you are incorrect. One can see which wheels are operating and which are regenerating at any time by entering "car" then selecting "trip" on the center screen which shows you how your car power is in operation. The front wheels are definitely not being used as much as you think.
My 4S is hardly ever powered on four wheels in most driving unless going uphill. Likewise, it is rarely regenerating using four wheels, using mostly just the rear wheels for regeneration. I would think the added weight of the front motor would hardly change the feel since it is hardly ever in...

A hitch rack with a bike on it and living in a state without a front license requirement, this combination causes a problem for camera toll collection. My protest supporting unemployed toll collectors that occurred when the cameras became ubiquitous..
I was curious, also, so I removed the cover and found it loosely connected and covering to what appeared to be the plug. If the plug can be separate from the cover, then the plug would be loose and not attached. I'd like to know the answer, also, though my use of the hitch if mainly for bikes...
"I have set the optional switch on the steering wheel to turn the HUD on and off so at night when it is more distracting it is easy to disable"
The HUD can be turned off by holding the left rotating wheel on the steering wheel down until it turns off, so not necessary to use the optional switch.
