Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Ok interesting! We are both in Montreal too. I have had excellent service from Porsche Prestige, so I will let them know about it, and have them check a couple of other tiny things (rear hatch sometimes struggles to open, or stops half way) in the coming weeks.

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Hi Team, I think the 1% per day usage might be related to the battery pack temperature. I noticed that every time I get in the car lately, the battery pack is at 30C. I don't precool the cabin from the app or by unlocking the car. I just charge to 80%, leave it there for a few days then jump in...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Ok in my case, when I got back on Monday (after the battery discharged ~17% in 17 days), I charged it back to 80%, and my charger shows 16.5 kWh added so mine was not off by much (it did jump to 83% in the morning) There's a few issues going on, from high battery discharge rates when parked, to...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Hi, I got back from travel on Monday, and the car lost 17% charge in 17 days (not plugged in). I charged to 80%, and the next day when I finally had to drive it, it showed 83% on the dash (80% in the app). I never charged to 100%, or did the discharge procedure yet. I won't take the car in to...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Thanks for the information! This has only started happening to my 2024 Macan 4 (got it in December 2024) a couple of months ago. I would leave it plugged in at home, and then get in the car with 77% charge after sitting for a few days despite charging to 80%. I have driven 8023 km so I do not...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Quick update while leaving my Macan unplugged for the last 10 days. The car remained at 80% (what I charge to) for the first 5 days, and now dropped 7% (at 73%) in 5 days. That is the equivalent of driving almost 40 km for me in the summer! I haven't tried the rebalance procedure, and I honestly...

Assistance Systems Error - Speed Limit Display (warning message)

Hi, the speed limit warning happened to me for the past 4 days (in Montreal. Canada). I suspect it was a dirty sensor or GPS temporary issue as it went away, only to be replaced by the Heart icon sensor issue. I will check if the sensors are dirty next time I drive.

    Bose sound stopped working

Hi, I have the latest (bad) firmware version, and this issue (lost all sounds) again. It has happened 3 times in 1.5 years, and unplugging the Bose amplifier power only fixed it once. I just need to exit the car, close everything and let it sit there a while. This is 100% a safety issue, as all...

Very cold air around front driver's seat/door panel and lower area of center console (where seat buckles are)

Ok very interesting! I tried this yesterday (full Off via PCM including the rear), and it seemed to stop the phone-charging bin air. It was only a short drive, so I will keep an eye on this. Thanks for the quick response and potential fix!

Very cold air around front driver's seat/door panel and lower area of center console (where seat buckles are)

Hi Folks, It is still cold here in Montreal, and I noticed the last few drives that there is very cold air flow around the lower area (seat cushion) of the front seats. This is both sides, with air flow from the door panel, and also on the center console side around the seat belt buckle and...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Thanks a lot for the details! My car remains plugged in while idle. This wasn't happening last year so it could be related to the last update. I am bringing in my car on Friday for the charge door replacement and summer tire swap, so I will definitely bring this up. I will ask about the SoH as...

Battery cells reset/rebalancing after erratic SoC readings

Hi Folks, I am not sure if my issue is similar to what is described here, but I noticed in the last 2 months that I charge my car to 80%, I get the notification that it has charged to 80%, but when I get in the car, the display shows 78%, or this morning, 76%. It drops instantly as soon as the...

    Macan vs Taycan, my observations

Hi Folks, I had a 2023 Taycan 4S as a courtesy car for over a week while my Macan 4 was getting one of the charge doors replaced. In Canada it looks like the 4S is the "lowest" end model we can get. I didn't have the spec sheet of the car but it had the passenger side screen (distracting and...

    Manual charging door not opening

Hi Folks, the dealer needs to replace my left charge port hardware. Parts only arriving in 3 weeks though. Not a big deal as I will try to sync it with winter-to-summer tire swap. On a side note, I got a Macan 4 courtesy car that is 99% identical to mine, except it has a HUD and the Electric...
